Dick Gearing memorial match
On the 4th of September 2010 Two Ampney sides, full of past and new players alongside friends and relatives of Dick, Faced off in a keenly fought 20 overs match.
The game was played to celebrate recently departed President Dick Gearing whose 90th birthday would have been on Sept 4th
The match was attended by friends and family, including players from the Cheltenham Team of St Stephens who played against Ampney Crucis for many seasons.
After the match a Grand Raffle and BBQ was held, and also a cheque for over £600 was donated to the Cricket club by the Gearing Family from the collection at the Funeral.
The match was kindly umpired by Gordon Pitts and Martin Wilson.
